Up until last year Thorsten Terweiden was the European Fintech Lead for Invest Hong Kong (InvestHK) based in London. In 2018 Thorsten assisted Transferwise, Revolut, Checkout and Ebury – to name his most important clients- with setting up operations in Hong Kong.
Prior to joining InvestHK, Thorsten was the Head of Swiss Business Hub UK in London since 2008. He promoted innovative SMEs in the UK and also was instrumental in setting up a soft-landing programme for Swiss tech companies. Thorsten is a member of the China and Fintech working groups of Tech London Advocates and of the German-British Chamber of Commerce. Thorsten is based in Berlin where he is working as an economic development consultant. He helps attract investment from the DACH region to locations overseas.
